Mauricio Náder

The Mexican pianist Mauricio Nader Schekaibán (1967), began performing at nine years old and has maintained an active career that has brought him to the stage more than 650 times. Apart from his performances in Spain in Music Weeks of the Prince of Asturias (1994), he has appeared at various venues in Mexico, United States, Canada, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Belize Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Lebanon and Pakistan. On several occasions he was invited to play in front of leaders like President Felipe Calderon, the Prince of Asturias and the French President Nicolas Sarkozy. He has represented Mexican music at venues like the Inter-American Development Bank / IDB (Washington), Spivey Hall (Atlanta), Jay Pritzker Pavilion / Millennium Park (Chicago), Americas Society (New York), Oslo Concert Hall (Oslo), Hotel National des Invalides (Paris), Centro Cultural de Belem (Lisbon), Teatro Municipal (Rio de Janeiro), Art Institute of Chicago and many more.

At nineteen years old he made his debut at the Palace of Fine Arts as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra and has since become a soloist with all his country's major orchestras, as well as various orchestras in Europe, the Middle East, Central and South America. The warmth of his interpretations, the power of his artistic personality and his ability to deal with a vast repertoire, ranging from baroque to contemporary music, make him the Latin American musician who attracted the most attention from the organizers of concerts in Mexico and abroad. Also to his credit, we can highlight the "premiere in Mexico" Makrokosmos (Books I and II) by George Crumb at the XXXVII International Cervantes Festival and released in several countries of the Concerto for piano and orchestra by Manuel M. Ponce.
